Rubber Dam
Rubber dam is a process of isolating one or more teeth for restorative work. It may seem uncomfortable, but surprisingly our patients will always compliment us on how relaxing and comfy it actually is.
This allows us as dentists to properly isolate the teeth or tooth we are working on, giving us great visibility of the working field and prevents saliva contamination while placing our restorations.
Occasionally we use harsh chemicals and small instruments inside the tooth, which pose a risk of dropping into your mouth causing harm or suffocation. The rubber dam is an absolute protection against this.
Research has also proven that this greatly enhances the quality of our work.
